Job Description

The Customer Training and Service Representative will join a team responsible for helping our B2B customers and potential customers learn about and use our software. This position will work with the rest of the team to answer user questions, write product documentation and release notes, perform trainings, test features, aid with the data import process, and other related tasks.

This position is a full-time, onsite position (Dresden, Germany), with salary based on experience. If needed, Scionics provides assistance with moving costs.

During the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, we are all working from home. As the situation has allowed, we are moving to a mix of at-home and in-office work.


  • Provide user support for our software
  • Train clients in the use of our software
  • Create product documentation for clients (e.g., new feature list, help files, etc.)
  • Record and update customer relationship data
  • Organize customer data imports
  • Give product demonstrations
  • Test software features
  • Organize software updates at our clients’ sites
  • Organize participation and participate in conferences


  • Computer literacy a must
  • IT or biology-related degree
  • Pro-active and assiduous work style
  • Fluent in German, very good English skills
  • Thoroughness and a keen attention to detail
  • Customer-oriented, communicative, resilient and a team player
  • Well organized, self-motivated
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel (to conferences, for trainings)

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience in support
  • Experience working in biological science
  • Knowledge of additional languages
  • Able to speak French at a basic level
