Your tasks

  • working in an agile, cross-functional team
  • independent development of new software components with Javascript / Typescript and Java frameworks
  • definition and use of APIs for data retrieval from backend services
  • supporting the architects with cross-domain knowledge
  • design of new software components (in cooperation with the team)
  • evaluation of user stories
    • elicit frontend and backend requirements including mutual trade-offs (identify conflicts of interest and propose solutions)
  • use and deployment of container-based solutions
  • support and maintenance of the IT infrastructure in the area of responsibility (DevOps aspect)
  • application of Responsive Design Techniques
  • implementing security concepts both in the front- and backend
  • ensuring the quality of our software components, among other things by:
    • documenting the software artefacts created
    • code review
    • writing unit and integration tests / component tests
  • observing developments in new technologies
  • familiarisation with the business domains of the Kiwigrid platform

Your Profile

  • at least 3 years of practical experience in software development projects
  • profound knowledge of full-stack development concepts / design patterns
  • sense of responsibility about the effectiveness of one's own work
  • good communication skills as a bridge between front- and backend
  • understanding of the principles of usability, user experience and UI design
  • understanding of cross-browser issues
  • solid knowledge of Java and at least two frontend-specific programming languages
  • knowledge of software design patterns, coding standards and best practices
  • basic knowledge of cloud infrastructures
  • basic knowledge of software architecture
  • confident handling of test frameworks
  • good written and spoken English
  • open-mindedness and willingness to learn
