Currently, we are looking to expand our service team in Dresden, Germany, and are seeking a skilled Network Administrator (m/f/d) to join us on a full-time basis and onsite. In this role, you will be part of our dedicated service team.
- Design, implement, and support networking solutions, primarily with HP / Aruba technology
- Support and implement monitoring and security solutions such as firewalls and intrusion detection
- Collaborate with the team on various networking tasks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Manage and maintain network hardware, software, and infrastructure components
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
- Ensure network security and compliance with established policies and procedures
- Monitor network performance and implement improvements as needed
- Suggest improvements on processes and procedures
- Work closely with the scientists to help design systems and structures to meet their research needs
Your Profile
- A university or equivalent degree in an IT related or scientific discipline – or a good explanation why the career path you've chosen gives you equivalent skills.
- Proven experience with HP/Aruba technology
- Basic understanding of Linux system administration, as this position requires close cooperation with the system administrators
- Minimum 3 years of experience in networking and / or IT security
- Able to work on-site
- Must be fluent in German and English and have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a team
